Testimonials

"Farm Share enables me to live the life I have dreamed of. Moving my body. Planting and gathering food (ok, a bit of weeding, too). Learning new skills, like making kombucha or carrot top pesto. All while chatting about topics big and small with friends who are growing dearer to me each season.”

FAQs

Who can join?

Individuals, couples, and families. It is one fee per household. Full members are allowed to bring one guest per month for free. Part-time members may bring a guest once per season.

Are children welcome?

Farm share is an opportunity for children 8 years of age or older to
work with the group on farm share tasks and learn about farming and nature. All children must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian

at all times. If there is enough interest, we will offer one session per

week for families with children of all ages, please let me know if you

are interested.

How often do I attend Farm Share?

Full members attend once per week and part-time members attend twice per month.

What if I am out of town or can’t come?

This is not a problem at all. You are welcome to come more before or after your trip or not. It is up to you—It is YOUR Farm Share. The more you come, the more you get to reap the benefits of being outside in nature, communing with others, growing and harvesting food.

How much produce will I get?

For a few months of the growing season, you will take home enough produce to feed your family for the week. During the shoulder seasons, you will take home greens and other cool weather crops. When in season, one pound of berries (strawberries and blackberries) is included per visit. Farm Share members have priority to purchase other fruit and pastured meats.

What will I do during Farm Share?

Farm Share members will start seeds indoors, make seed starting blocks, plant seeds and transplants in the ground, make and use compost and compost tea, weed, mulch, and harvest almost 100 different varieties of vegetables and fruits.

Can I buy produce if I do not join?

Farm Share is 100% participatory. Our mission is to support health and wellness of members by providing hands-on experience in nature with others, so we do not offer vegetables for purchase. If you are interested in organically-grown fruit for purchase, let us know and we will add you to the waiting list. As our orchards mature, Farm Share members will have first dibs to purchase additional fruit.
